How to play a DASH stream

Copy the manifest URL. It usually ends in .mpd — the Media Presentation Description of an MPEG-DASH stream shared by a website, CDN or encoding service.

Paste it above and press Play. You can also paste raw <MPD> manifest XML, or open this page with ?url= followed by your stream link to share it with one click.

Control everything. Choose bitrate, speed and audio or text tracks, take screenshots, enable Picture-in-Picture or go fullscreen. Keyboard: Space/K play, arrows seek and volume, M mute, F fullscreen.

Frequently asked questions

What is an MPD file?
An MPD (Media Presentation Description) is the XML manifest of an MPEG-DASH stream — the international standard for adaptive streaming. It lists the available audio and video representations with their bitrates and resolutions, plus segment timing, so the player can switch quality on the fly as your network changes.
Is this online DASH player really free?
Yes — 100% free, forever. No signup, no watermark, no daily limit, and nothing to install. It runs entirely in your browser using the open-source dash.js engine, the reference implementation of MPEG-DASH maintained by the DASH Industry Forum.
Why does my MPD stream fail to play?
The most common cause is CORS: the server hosting the stream must allow browser access from other websites, and not every provider does. Streams requiring DRM license keys, expired tokens or geo-restrictions also refuse playback. Note that this tool is a player only — it never downloads or records streams.
Do you store or upload my stream links?
No. Your browser talks to the stream server directly. Your recent links are saved only in your own browser's local storage for convenience, and you can clear them at any time by clearing site data.
Can I watch live DASH streams with it?
Yes. Live streams show a LIVE badge, play near the edge with automatic latency handling, and — when the broadcaster provides a DVR window — you can rewind through the recent minutes and jump back to live with one tap. Low-latency DASH setups are supported through the engine's built-in low-latency mode.
Does it work on iPhone, Android and desktop?
Yes on desktop and Android, where the open-source dash.js engine handles playback through Media Source Extensions. On iOS, Apple does not expose MSE in all browsers, so DASH support on iPhone depends on the browser build you use — Safari plays HLS natively instead, and our free M3U8 player covers that path.
